Study Shows That Moving House Costs Almost 10K: Cost Effective Removals

The cost of moving property is said to be almost £10,000, according to a latest survey.
Property Finder has published some controversial findings that reveal that the price of moving home has almost tripled in the past 10 years.
The study shows that the average cost is now around 10k which is broken down into £5,009 being spent on stamp duty taxes and around £3,027 being forked out on estate agent fees. Stamp duty accounts for over half of moving costs on the average home and has risen sharply over the past decade from £1 billion to £8 billion.
The hefty price tag also includes £1000 for solicitors for conveyance of the property and lastly £450 going towards removals firms. The research claims that the high cost of moving home has contributed to the current supply shortage in the housing market and rising house prices.
